about
Being an animator is a unique and gratifying path. In my short time working in the field, I’ve often met with surprise when introducing myself, an expression that once felt isolating but has since become a point of pride. Animation grants the ability to bring life into characters who resonate with people across the world, while also being interpreted differently by each person. It’s a craft that requires curiosity, empathy, and a dedication to understanding diverse cultures and perspectives.
I strive to create truly alive worlds as a 2D and 3D animator and digital artist, utilizing tools such as Clip Studio Paint, Toon Boom Harmony, Procreate, Maya, and Unreal Engine. I’m especially fascinated by the subtle nuances of human expression. How discomfort can be seen in a downward glance or defensive posture, and how love might appear in dilated pupils. These subtle behaviors bring depth and humanity to animated characters. I constantly experiment with facial expressions and body language in 3D softwares to embed further emotional authenticity into my hand-drawn work, using basic character models as face and pose references for a 2D character design, then exaggerating the poses and proportions further in the 2D medium.
As I continue pursuing my animation career, I aim to grow as a visual storyteller through character acting. Creating characters who, like those from the stories that shaped my life lessons, leave a lasting impact on others.
